Karla's update:
LaCrosse with exchange students this weekend. 5k run /walk, pizza, movie, popcorn, pumpkin pie, bowling, her friend's birthday, and experienced snow.
Her trip finished with ride back with Steve Salerno and sampled food from MacDonald’s. 13 students slept on the floor of the gymnasium Students from Taiwan, India, France, Denmark, and Brazil. It was a lot of fun. She has a birthday party Saturday. She plans on making a calzone for family tonight.
 
Happy Bucks
Mark: New member of the family a hunting dog puppy, "Archie" Barker.
 
Bob: Getting into the holiday season, that we are sensitive to the hate, that we become aware that it as world problem.
 
Faye: During her trip across Nebraska she had time to think about how she values her friends. Song from when she was a Brownie:
"Make new friends and keep the old, one is silver and one is gold." Is relevant as ever.
 
Tammy: Happy for "Yes to the Dress" at Minneapolis, two November birthdays and a lot of running around.
Not so-happy that Kurt’s Mom is at hospice.
 
Paul: his daughters (8 & 9 years old) had state gymnastics meet over the weekend. His daughter Sophia hit some personal records for scores and won the balance beam event.
Ivy did well at the meet, winning a state championship  on the bars (she is ranked is 20th in the US).
 
Heidi: happy that she got to spend time in Florida at Treasure Island. Her daughter Maliya adopted a new kitten.

Club News:
Tuesday Board meeting notes: voting for vacancies on the board. During our December annual meeting we need to vote on board members if there are any vacancies.
The board consists of directors, plus 3 other members. If you have interest in joining the board contact Paul.
 
Busy January. We have 3 speakers at lunch, and fireside chat 1/31. There will be 4 Paul Harris awards given out during the event.
 
Holiday party on the 5th Wednesday 12/27 at the Violet Room. Bring a plus one to meet us in a social situation. Bring your own booze. Student rotarians & Interact Club members and their families are invited. Please send RSVP by 12/22.
 
Mount Horeb Rotary Club Foundation is a
non-profit corporation founded in 2004 as a pass through corporation. Large grant donations can be tax deductible if they are made payable to the Foundation.
It's outdated so a small group is getting together to update the foundation.
 
Shawn: We are trying to get Quickbooks via Tech Soup to purchase the license at a lower rate. Forms required by Tech Soup were submitted to qualify for a reduced rate license.

We are looking for a president-elect elect. If you are interested please reach out to Paul. Assistance is there with former members so you wouldn’t be doing this on your own unsupported.
 
Fundraising:
We are considering purchasing another griddle to help with high demand periods during the pancake brunch.
Currently looking at a commercial grade electric griddle. Paul has been working with Michelle at the schools in his search at found something for $400 or less.
 
Tammy: would we be able to get equipment on loan from another club or organization?
