Update from Karla
Karla’s last couple weeks here in Mt. Horeb.
She’s been busy. Went to Oakland Hill correctional institution in Oregon.
Thanksgiving she made a Brazilian chicken pie. She is happy staying with the Hook family in Blue Mounds. Karla was able to bond with her host sister, Elise during Jada’s Bake sale where she made good money.
She spoke with her dad on Monday and John (host brother?) walked in joined in the conversation. They were able to find a common ground talking about barbecue. Her dad is sending a box of spices for Brazilian barbecue.
Looking forward to this weekend’s gathering with other exchange students.

Judy met with Karla and discussed getting to know different members better. She is looking forward to getting to know Keith who is going to be our next Youth Exchange Council Counselor.
