Welcome Mike Dillis AG who was laid up with foot surgery.
 
Youth Report: 
  • Our club will sponsor an outbound Mount Horeb High School Student for 22/23
  • Interact has 60 students.  Their focus is on service.  They are currently working on projects that focus on vets and service personnel overseas.
  • They did reverse Trick or Treating in M.H. Senior Centers.
  • They plan on creating Christmas Cards for shut-ins.
Treasurer reported that we have:
  • Capital:  $5039
  • International $2229
  • Operations $11.400
  • Service $7,214
We closed the books on the Murder Mystery Party.  Kopras, Zalucha and Wallitsch sponsored the party and made up the difference in cost vs income.  Thanks!
 
On behalf of the International Committee, Shawn brought up the topic of the Afghan refugees at Fort McCoy.  We discussed various organizations that are coordinating efforts and plan to see what fits our interests and abilities.
 
The Holiday Party will be held Wednesday, December 29 between Christmas and New Years.  It will be held at BarleyVine and there will be a White Elephant Exchange.  Family Friendly
 
The Vote regarding the Task Force recommendations on the Three Pillars has been called and will end at Midnight, November 6th.  It is a virtual ballot.
The results of that vote will be incorporated into the Club ByLaws by December 1st.  It is the goal to vote on the Board Prepared Budget by December 1st.
 
Our Monthly Schedule for the foreseeable future will be:
  • 1st Wednesday, Business Meeting
  • 2nd Wednesday, Committee Meetings
  • 3rd Wednesday, Programs
  • 4th Wednesday, Club Activities
  • 5th Wednesday, Party
Announcement: Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Bank needs help on November 19th and 20th.  Big shipments will be coming in for the holidays:
Thanksgiving Food Basket Helpers
In addition to several outstanding volunteer opportunities at the Food Closet in this month of November, given the expected higher than normal volume of clients expected on Friday November 19th and Saturday November 20th we just added this extra position onto all four of our distribution shifts for these days.
Special position added to provide assistance as we distribute the annual Thanksgiving baskets during our regular food distribution times. No prior training required. Must be capable of Lifting and carrying packages up to 25 pounds.

Dixie needs drivers mid-day on Thanksgiving to deliver Turkey dinners to shut-ins.
 
We will also be asked to assemble bikes for the Giving Tree, like we did last year.
 
Heidi worked to find out what committees our members would like to be on.  She will have the fleshed out list for next week.  Everyone should plan on being on one committee but may volunteer for two.
