bBusiness Meeting

Susan talked about the updated schedule. (Upper right of this newsletter).
Susan wants to update the handbook and is asking for volunteers to help update the handbook. Those interested should be in touch with Susan.
Invitation to donor event for Home of our Own at Prairie Haus in New Glarus. Come to see the Rotary Kitchen and the beautiful location.
Susan want to set up a Rotary work day including the trailer clean-out. She'd like to collect all Rotary paraphenilia, organize and the allocate.
We will need to select a President-Elect. Be thinking about who to nominate in December.
Rotary International has asked clubs to participate in an Open World Program.

The Open World Program is available only to Rotary clubs in the United States and provides an opportunity to build fellowship and friendship to strengthen international understanding by hosting emerging Eurasian leaders from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan in your community. Rotary clubs are needed to host six-participant delegations for eight days and nights and prepare a professional program related to business, community, and civic life in the United States. Treasurer - presented financial statements *. There are still some unpaid tickets from the 10K raffle.
Looks like we will net around $14,500 this year.
Secretary: Need Norsk News covored through the 1st week of October while Peggy is in Europe.
We will restart the Student Rotarian program in October. Our first two students will be Natalie Broderick, President of Interact and Gwen Mahoney, Vice President of Roteract.
Our Outbound Exchange Student, Soren Espy is settling in to Italy.
The Youth Exchange committee is working on a student for 2023-24. Judy is setting up host families and is having no difficulty finding them.
All the 2021 scholarships have been paid out.
Steve Salerno reported that they had the 1st Interact meeting of the year. 60+ showed up. Their first project is to make dog toys for the Dane County Humane Society. The also are helping with Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
The Grants Committee will be meeting soon.
We were shown a short video of our Libraries without Borders Project in Puerto Rico.
The Social Committee will be sending ThankYou notes for donors and supporters of the 10K Raffle. They will be hand written and everyone can help.
Susan will meet with Brent and Russ to discuss membership. Her plan is to approach Exchange Families to assess interest.
