Student Rotarians:
Ava: Interact since freshman year enjoys the good work she does with the club.

Rachel: Interact president shared upcoming events such as the reverse trick or treating at Ingleside and Bee Hive this Sunday, donation drive for friends of state street benefiting homeless in Madison, holiday cards for service members, blankets for UW Children’s Hospital, and shoe box gift boxes.

State street project donations wanted: gift cards, non perishables, gloves, hats, socks, hand sanitizers, area store gift cards, which can be collected at our meetings.

Interact will be running a concession stand 12/22 5-8:30 during the Boys' basketball game to raise funds for making the blankets.

 

Judy brought world affairs seminar attendees Aminata Ndiaye and Kaitlyn Farr, our guest speakers.

 

Happy Bucks: Liz is happy for the village sustainability and natural resources committee (SNR).

 

Faye: there can be joy even in disappointment. She's happy for fantastic celebration up to the last 2 minutes of the football game against UW-Madison last weekend.

 

Susan Smith: happy buck for great fall colors on Blue Mounds.

 

Susan W: Tomorrow is Franke’s 32nd birthday. She is having a drop in from 3-5 on Saturday.

 

Mark: Had his ribbon cutting on his 56 kWh solar array installed at Cave of the Mounds.

Dixie Burns' Thanksgiving meal deliveries to community members in need a holiday meal will be taking place this year. Susan Smith reports that Sunn Cafe and Neighbors Helping Neighbors will be participating. Deliveries will be on Thanksgiving Day around 10 am.

 

Guest speakers from World Affairs Day Aminata Ndiaye and Kaitlyn Farr shared their experience at the World Affairs seminar at Carroll University. They had an amazing time, and learned a lot. The one-week event included  activities such as negotiations, keynote speakers, tree planting ceremony, field trip, small discussion groups, group artwork installation, and keynote speaking presentations. There was a struggle with outdoor activities due to smoke from the forest fires. They visited Sculpture Milwaukee, participated in diplomacy simulation, talent show where Anika sang. Rotary International president Gordon R. McInally was there on Thursday.

Aminata and Kaitlyn thank us for the opportunity to attend.
