She will be leading the American’s experiences.
Prom was fun, had photos taken including the state capitol. This week grandma and grandpa will be taking care of her and she is looking forward to having some good food since Grandma is an amazing cook.

Please let Peggy know if you plan on attending our 5th Wednesday event, the Grant Awards Ceremony on 5/29. There will be no noon meeting that day. June 5th will be our next business meeting.

Dave: Past weekend he celebrated his father-in-law’s 90th birthday. 32 direct family members attended.
Mark: happy and sad. 4 big trees near the farmhouse went down, happy they didn’t damage the structures.
Liz: Happy to do the Spring Arts Tour with son Ben; unhappy about Art funding state level ranks 49th in the country for per capita spending on the arts.
Our Guest Speaker, Chris Ziemba from Second Harvest Food Bank. Some of the takeaways from the presentation are:
- 1 in 10 people experience food insecurity in SW Wisconsin. 1 in 7 are kids.
- Second harvest serves a 16 county area
- From 2022-2023 28% increase in amount of families served with Neighbors Helping Neighbors. Increased costs in rent is a factor in driving up demand.
Sources of donated food is down 20% from previous years.It’s not just poverty ridden folks who use food pantries, these are working people who do not qualify for programs such as reduced rate school lunches, SNAP, or other forms of assistance.
