Happy Bucks
Peggy $2 bill. Has hosted Karla our exchange student for the past 8 days, she is a delight, very bright and made dinner on Saturday; now Peggy needs to go on a diet.
School is starting, she has signed up for Interact, and volleyball. If any of the club members want to spend time with her let her know.
Bob:
Happy bucks from what he has observed over the past month and a half of our group, the concept of service above self, and that we do it voluntarily which makes it more significant. He couldn’t be prouder to be affiliated with our club.
Steve:
Glad to have kids back in school buildings.
Susan:
It’s her youngest child’s first day of her 17th year in school studying for a PhD to be “a shrink and researcher”.
Steve:
Excited to have a freshman and senior in our school system. Leo is the captain of the soccer club and is having a blast.
Heidi:
Everyone is back to school for her kids in college, and the girls took their own “back to school” photos.
Announcements:

Teacher luncheon
3 new teachers approached Paul separately to thank him, plus we got a thank you card from the media center at the Middle School.
Fantastic facility, mingling opportunity with people outside the school.
Personal note: Julia, a former 6th grader of Paul’s will be teaching at the IC.
Susan: a teacher pulled her aside to let her know the event was unique. Peggy: the event was started by Phil Halverson. She remembers her first in 1999.
Some discussion ensued about another meeting outside working hours.
5th Wednesday:
What a gorgeous location! Paul Harris recognition for Jim and Dixie. Lots of guests, food was fabulous. Peggy salutes the social committee for the great job.
Bob: question related to Jim and Dixie who are honorary members, members for life, always welcomed, they receive our emails and are welcomed at our events moving forward.
