Guest Gary Tree member of Madison down town rotary club. He lives in Blue Mounds, is getting ready to retire and is looking for a club nearby that has a passion for international projects and global grant projects.

 

Liz is happy that the native plantings project at the middle school has plants in, and tucked in raised beds with a blanket of mulch thanks to Dave Reed’s help.

 

Peggy is happy for hearing Gordon McInally (Rotary International president) last week. It was an inspirational experience. His speech can be heard on this link.

 

Tracy: after the past 3 hard weeks, she is happy that the work she has been doing on getting t-coil systems installed at the Mount Horeb library has come to fruition! T-coil systems help people with hearing aids by removing ambient noises.

 

Paul: went to Disney, while there his daughter spotted a fellow Rotary member from Ohio and said hello.

 

No meeting July 3rd and will replace the meeting with one on 7/31.

 

The next few weeks the club is reporting to Rotary the number of members we have. If you are thinking of leaving the club, this is a better time as the club is approaching the end of its fiscal year when Rotary counts club attendance.

 

10k ticket sales, we need to get coverage for Jim and Dixie Burns. So far there ~50 people signed up for this year.

 

Another reminder that we need to get email addresses for people that are on last year’s ticket list but we need to send out our email reminder offering ticket sales. Missing records are in yellow on Paul’s sheet. If you know the missing email accounts please enter them on the sheet's column "H".

 

Teacher’s luncheon will be at the Violet Room starting at 12:00 8/21. Peggy is asking if it can be an hour and a half long and the social committee is planning on finding a keynote speaker for the event.

 

Do not mail payment for 10k tickets, locations for payment are Thousand CPA, Russ’s Family Dental office, and the school district office.

 

Judy Steinhauer’s presentation on Rotary will be next week, bring a friend who is interested or curious about what we do in Rotary.
