The meeting had weather related drama as members’ phones were blaring tornado warnings.
 
Happy Bucks:
Steve is happy that he was able to get tickets to Paul McCartney’s concert.
Mark Rooney is happy that Russ and his family was able to safely leave the Grand Canyon due to the emergency evacuation due to the fire. He and his family were able to be airlifted by helicopter. There were some tenuous moments, but the family made it out safe.
 
Announcements:
📣 Our meetings have an adjustment now will start at noon, ring the bell 🔔 and the 4-way test will start at the beginning, followed by fellowship and announcements.
 
Membership committee is large and has many functions. Brent would like to optimize and concentrate on membership engagement and develop a systematic approach for on-boarding. He proposes using a ”Membership minute” to focus on helping our new members in a more pro-active way.
Sarah and Heidi are working on getting shirts in time for the 10k Raffle. If anyone needs a shirt contact them so that the shirts can be ordered and produced. Heidi offered to send out an email to club members.
Thank you cards were sent to the club from attendees of the World Affairs seminar. The students will present their experience to the club next month.
Keith sent reminders for club dues.
10k there are a few tickets remaining to be sold. Keith has physical tickets for people who need to have something in hand.
5th Wednesday plans for July 30th meeting at the Viking Bar and Grill on Main Steet.
 
Following announcements members of the club presented more about the Green Team, a Rotary Community Corps group. More information can be found on the handout Aubree prepared. The Green Team provides an opportunity to participate along with community members on service projects relating to sustainability.
