Student Report Out
Zandra reported on her time in Fort Atkinson with other Rotarians. Activities included lots of snowball fighting, watching movies, sharing cultural foods, polka dancing, and attending a boys’ basketball game.
Happy Bucks
Keith shared that Harrison earned three pins, and Theo also received a pin. Melissa announced a Teddy Bear Clinic scheduled for January 22 at 6:00 p.m., designed to help children feel more comfortable with doctor visits. Gary shared gratitude after receiving a false positive cancer scare, noting how blessed he felt that the results were not positive.
Super Bowl Brunch
Members were asked to review the email from Paul regarding the Super Bowl Brunch. Anyone with a preference for working in the morning or afternoon should email Paul directly. Members were encouraged to actively promote the event to support brunch ticket sales. Paul Christiansen has tickets available for those who need them.
The structure of the placemat ads was reviewed, noting that a “double, double” ad equals four single squares, with the possibility of revisiting this opportunity in the future. Student Rotarians were recognized for doing an excellent job varying which side of the placemats faces up at each table setting. Brent will deliver the trailer on Sunday, and Paul will ensure the kitchen is set up on Saturday. Zandra will have her own section at the brunch to request funds in support of her upcoming trip.
